Buyers message you here. You can block anybody, and report anyone who is out of line.

Up to twenty photos and links to video. Buyers see the horse move before they ask you to send a clip.
Honest badges
A badge on Lope On says exactly what was checked and what was not. We never imply we inspected a horse we have not seen.
A real handover
Ownership transfer is a workflow both people confirm, not a line in a text message.
Promotion
We can share your listing — only if you ask
Lope On runs social accounts and posts a handful of listings a week. When you publish a listing you will see one tick box:
“Help promote my listing on Lope On’s social pages.”
It is off unless you turn it on. Nothing posts automatically: a person at Lope On reviews every listing in the queue and writes the caption. You can withdraw consent at any time from the listing, and anything not yet posted is pulled.
We never post a horse’s private records, your address, or anything you marked private. Only what is already public on the listing.
What a promoted post looks like
The horse’s name, age, breed, discipline, town and price, one photo, and a link back to the listing. That is all.
A person writes every caption.
Questions
Before you list
What does it cost to list a horse?
Listing a horse is free during the beta. Payments are switched off entirely at the moment, so there is nothing to pay and no card to enter. See pricing.
Does Lope On take a commission on the sale?
No. You and the buyer agree the price and settle up between yourselves.
Do I have to upload papers and vet records?
No. A listing works with just photos and a description. But horses with real records get taken more seriously, and you can keep the sensitive ones private and release them to a specific buyer when the conversation gets serious.
What happens to the records when the horse sells?
They go with the horse. The new owner sees the history you built; you stay in it as a previous owner. Documents you marked private stay private to you unless you choose to hand them over as part of the transfer.
Can I list a horse that is not for sale?
Yes. You can keep a horse on Lope On purely for its records and never publish a listing at all. Plenty of people use it that way.
Somebody is messaging me who should not be.
Block them from the conversation, and report them. A person reads every report.
Lope On does not handle the money
There is no escrow and no payment processing here. Payment is between you and the buyer. Read trust and safety before you take a deposit from someone you have not met.
